FC Living: ARP Board President Trish Klatt & Her Altruistic Family

Meet Erich and Trish Klatt and their 3 children: Emmeline (19), Trevor (17) and Jack (15) and the family pet, Max, a Bichon-Poodle mix.  This is an altruistic family that is very much involved in the community.  Erich is originally from Mt. Lebanon and Trish is from O’Hara Township. They have lived in the Fox Chapel area for 23 years!

Erich is a strategic account manager for Philips Respironics.  Because he works from home, he’s able to attend the kid’s school and sporting events, which are extremely important to him.  Erich was Scoutmaster of local troop 380, where Trevor earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  In his spare time, he also plays soccer and basketball in adult leagues.

Trish is a Family Medicine Pharmacist at UPMC St. Margaret, overseeing the Pharmacy Residency Program and teaching in the Physician Residency Program, where she trains them to work together as a team.  She’s particularly interested in the underserved patient population that is often not able to advocate for themselves.  Trish is President of the Board of Aspinwall Riverfront Park as a volunteer and has been involved with the organization since its original purchase in 2011.

“As a very close family we love to laugh, we are very accepting, and we think its important to give back to the community.  Aspinwall Riverfront Park holds a special place in our hearts; we walk Max there, swing on the swings on the dock, and we particularly enjoy spending time there with family and friends.”

…..

For the last several years, Trish and the kids have gone to Appalachia for a week each June with St. Scholastica Youth Ministry where they help members of a sister parish in WV that are economically disadvantaged and are unable to do it on their own.  They simply LOVE it!

This is one VERY involved family!
